Contemporary Turkish Studies at a glance – Topics, institutions and future perspectives
The two-day conference gives scholars and institutions involved in Turkish Studies the chance to present their work, position themselves in the international research community and debate related topics and research questions in an interdisciplinary environment. The event is framed by key-note speeches by some of the most prestigious scholars in the field. Furthermore, in four different panels, chaired by renowned experts, central issues and research questions of Turkish Studies are discussed. In preparation of the event the chairpersons determine a general topic framing the presentations and discussions in the panel. The topics are announced in a Call for Papers. The most innovative and outstanding papers are presented during the event. Each day finishes with a round table discussion wrapping up the outcome of the panels. On the sidelines of the event organizations, journals and other actors engaged with Turkish Studies can set up stands to exhibit their work and publications.
